Nicholas Payne, 'Swamp People' Star -- When a Man Hits a Woman ... Allegedly

Filed under: Nicholas Payne, Exclusive, Swamp People, Celebrity Justice

Nicholas Payne
"Swamp People" troublemaker Nicholas Payne allegedly battered a FEMALE cop on the night he was arrested ... and then tried to escape into the woods ... this according to Louisiana police.

TMZ has learned ... the 26-year old gator huntin' apprentice was arrested last month for allegedly striking a female police officer in the chest ... while she was trying to write him a citation for disturbing the peace at a private home.

Law enforcement officials tell us Payne tried to run off into the woods after the attack ... so a K-9 unit was dispatched to find him.

We're told one of the dogs located Payne ... and bit the guy so hard, the reality star had to be taken to a nearby hospital so doctors could treat the wound.

Cops say Payne's injury has since healed up.

Payne is still behind bars -- because he has not paid his $10,000 bail.

Michael Jackson Doctor Called Girlfriend As MJ Died

Prosecutors in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, called one of the cardiologist's girlfriends to the stand Tuesday (October 4) in an attempt to nail down what Murray was doing as his famous client was dying of cardiac arrest.

Houston, Texas, steakhouse waitress Sade Anding told the jury that six minutes into a phone call with Murray on June 25, 2009, Murray suddenly disappeared as she was telling him about her day. "I realized he was no longer on the phone," she said of the call that took place less than a half-hour before Murray placed a frantic call to Jackson's assistant asking for help. At one point, she described hearing coughing, mumbling and other voices on Murray's end, as if his phone was in his pocket. The call was one of a half-dozen that phone records show Murray made during a crucial time when prosecutors say he should have been monitoring Jackson's vital signs closely.

Other testimony on Tuesday:

» Another woman, Michelle Bella, said she got a text message from Murray that morning, and an employee of the doctor said she exchanged eight minutes' worth of calls with him during the final hours of Jackson's life.

» Murray's current girlfriend and the mother of one of his seven children, Nicole Alvarez, 29, at first denied knowing that the doctor was pulling down $150,000 a month for treating Jackson. She said she met Jackson in 2008 and that she spent time with the pop star and Murray several more times after their son was born in 2009. Alvarez also testified that by June 2009, Murray was leaving their apartment at 9 p.m. almost every night and returning in the morning and that she signed for packages in April, May and June of 2009 but didn't know they contained the powerful anesthetic propofol. She told prosecutors that she planned to travel with Murray to England for Jackson's planned string of 50 This Is It shows.

» Alvarez said she spoke to Murray as the doctor rode in the ambulance to the hospital with Jackson's body, one of four calls the two exchanged on the afternoon of the singer's death.

» ABC News reported that none of the propofol bottles recovered from Jackson's room had the pop star's fingerprints on them, a detail that may deal a blow to the emerging defense theory that Jackson dosed himself with the surgical anesthetic while Murray was out of the room and caused his own death

» Pharmacist Tim Lopez told prosecutors he sent Murray 225 vials of propofol in total, as well as 20 vials of lorazepam and 60 of midazolam in April 2009, with some sent to a Santa Monica address that was likely the apartment the doctor shared with Alvarez.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter. He faces four years in prison and the loss of his medical license.

Kelly Rowland 'Excited' To Be Beyonce Baby's 'Auntie'

Before her F.A.M.E. Tour stop in NYC, Kelly tells MTV News she saw B and 'got a chance to rub her tummy.'

Kelly Rowland is thrilled that her sister in life and music, Beyoncé Knowles, is pregnant with her first child — but that doesn't mean K.Ro's ready to take on 40 weeks of morning sickness, strange cravings and swollen feet.

"I'm so happy for her and her husband [Jay-Z] and just excited to be an auntie — part two. First it was Julez," Rowland told MTV News, referring to Solange Knowles' 6-year-old, when we caught up with her on her tour bus during the New York leg of Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. Tour. "Now it's a new baby on the rise; it's gonna to be so exciting."

But when we suggested Kelly might be the next to bare a bump on MTV's VMA stage, the onetime "Destiny's Child" diva nearly spilled the blue plastic cup of post-concert something-something she had been sipping.

"Kids!? Unh-unh," she laughed, tucking a jumpsuit-clad leg firmly underneath her as a towering pair of heels lay on the floor of the warmly lit bus. "I'll help take care of my 'sister' and her husband's baby first. I'm not ready for babies yet. I can watch them take care of this little baby."

Still, Rowland said she'd have no problem pitching in on diaper duty when the superstar couple needed to get away for one of their well-documented date nights. Whether they're sharing a plate at Nello's in NYC or heading to Brooklyn to cheer on the Nets, B and Hov can count on Kelly. "I get to babysit, yes," she smiled.

"It's a wonderful moment," the "Motivation" singer added. "I just saw my sister today, and I got a chance to rub her tummy."

Taylor Swift Says 2012 Album Is 'About Moving On'

The 10 songs she's written so far are 'sad, if I'm being honest,' she tells The New Yorker.

It's been almost a year since Taylor Swift released the chart-topping Speak Now, which included the hits "Mine" and "Back to December." Fans won't have to wait much longer for the next country-crossover hits: Swift's next album is due sometime in 2012.

During an interview with The New Yorker, Swift said she recently decided that life is "about achieving contentment ... you're not always going to be ridiculously happy" — and that newly discovered viewpoint is leaking into her new music.

Throughout her career, we've seen Swift grow from a wide-eyed girl who sings about puppy love to a been-there, done-that young woman who understands heartbreak. Her new songs certainly fit into the progression. "They're sad, if I'm being honest," she said of the 10 songs she's written so far, adding that a recent track she wrote "is about moving on."

Of her abilities as a vocalist, Swift said singing is really just the vehicle to get her ideas out into the world. "I write songs, and my voice is just a way to get those lyrics across," she said.

In an interview with MTV News earlier this year, Swift said her ability to express her feelings in song has grown nearly as much as she has as a person. "I think retrospect will tell a lot. Years from now, I'll look back and go, 'I didn't know anything then,' " she said. "I had this song called 'Picture to Burn' that's talking about how 'I hate your truck' and 'I hate that you ignored me,' 'I hate you,' " she explained. "Now, the way that I would say that and the way that I would feel that kind of pain is a lot different."

Until Swift does put out new music, her fans can look forward to a concert album and DVD special called "Speak Now World Tour - Live," dropping November 21. It will include live versions of tracks like "Mine," "Story of Us," "Mean" and Back to December."

Kristen Stewart Likes Watching 'Twilight' with Taylor Lautner

Kristen Stewart Likes Watching 'Twilight' with Taylor Lautner

On the big screen, Kristen Stewart's alter ego Bella Swan is in love with her vampire boyfriend, Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen. And the actors seem totally infatuated with each other in real life, too. But Stewart admits there are times when she prefers the company of their costar, Taylor Lautner.

In Glamour magazine's November issue, Stewart tells Twilight author Stephenie Meyer (who interviewed her for the cover story) that she prefers to watch the Twilight films with her onscreen best friend Lautner than with her vampire love (and rumored off-screen beau) Pattinson.

"It's fun to watch with Taylor because we actually sit and watch it," the 21-year-old actress explains. "Me and Taylor are actual Twilight fans, so we can sit there and be totally into it! Whereas I sit there with Rob…he likes it, but he has just such a different energy."

The maker of the entire Twilight universe agreed, adding: "Oh, Rob and Taylor have completely different energy! Watching it with Taylor, you feel afraid that you’ll get ice down the back of your neck or a grape in your face."

And even though Stewart has been famously tight-lipped about her romance with Pattinson, that doesn't mean she can't give other people relationship advice!

"Hmm…good relationship advice for me tends to be being honest and knowing yourself. Don’t be an a**hole. That's my advice," she said. "Don't be mean. Don't take s***. Don't settle."

George Clooney Stars in, Directs, Discusses The Ides of March With Movie Fanatic

In The Ides of March, which hits theaters Friday, an up-and-coming press secretary (Ryan Gosling) finds himself involved in a major political scandal that threatens to upend his candidate (George Clooney)'s shot at the presidency.

While some have drawn parallels to the Rielle Hunter scandal that derailed the career of John Edwards, Clooney tells Movie Fanatic in an interview that his character and the story at large were not based on any particular politician.

Moreover, the film is more about moral choices than politics.

George Clooney in The Ides of March

"We're reflecting the mood of our country and our world," Clooney said. "If the film reflects some of the cynicism, that's probably good, it's not a bad thing to hold up a mirror to our politicians. But that wasn't what the film was designed to do."

"There isn't a person you have met that hasn't been met with moral questions," he adds. "Everyone makes moral choices to better themselves and hurt others along the way and whether the means justifies the ends."

Clooney discussed the movie's complex themes and raved about its cast, which includes Gosling, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Hank Williams III
Hank Williams Jr.
's son -- Hank Williams III -- doesn't think his father should have opened his mouth about Obama yesterday ... telling TMZ most musicians are "not worthy" of a political discussion.

TMZ spoke with HW3 -- and punk rock-meets-country singer -- who tells us, "The only person out there worthy of mixing political views and music is Jello Biafra."

FYI -- Jello Biafra is the original lead singer of the legendary punk rock band Dead Kennedys ... who is now a big shot political figure in the Green Party.

As TMZ previously reported, Hank's dad's famous "Are You Ready for Some Football" jam was yanked from Monday Night Football last night ... after HW2 went on Fox News and proclaimed that President Obama and Joe Biden are "the enemy."

When we asked HW3 about his political views, he told us, "I'm a musician ... not a politician."
