Linda Evangelista Asks Salma Hayek's Husband for Child Support

Linda Evangelista Asks Salma Hayek's Husband for Child Support

Single mom Linda Evangelista hasn't asked for a dime from her 3-year-old son's billionaire father -- but now, she's making up for lost time! According to the N.Y. Post, he 46-year-old supermodel visited Manhattan Family Court on Tuesday to demand $46,000 a month in child support from ex-boyfriend Francois Henri-Pinault.

Pinault, a 49-year-old French luxury-goods CEO, fathered baby Augustin with Evangelista in 2006, as the world learned last month. During his fling with Evangelista, he was temporarily split from then-girlfriend Salma Hayek, 44, who is now his wife and the mother of his 3-year-old daughter Valentina. So it's a sticky situation all around. Still, it's surprising that super-wealthy Pinault hasn't provided any child support to Evangelista.

"He's just been sitting back, paying zero," Evangelista's lawyer told the judge yesterday.

Evangelista's five-figure child support request -- "probably the largest support order in the history of the Family Court," noted the judge -- accounts for a live-in nanny ($80,000 a year) and a team of gun-carrying drivers who are also retired police detectives ($175,000 a year). She also sought $7,500 a month for "vacation" expenses, which the judge rejected -- but he said that the other expenses make sense, in light of Evangelista's demanding work schedule and the child's high-risk position as a billionaire's son.

But Pinault doesn't seem to agree. His lawyers fought Evangelista's demands at the hearing, arguing that she makes enough money to cover her child's expenses.

"She testified that she wants to have a 24-hour nanny because she does not want to be alone with the child," said Pinault's lawyer. "Miss Evangelista, you should understand, has a worth of more than $8 million, and she earned, last year, $1.8 million."

In fact, the model testified that she needs a nanny because she spends so much time working and traveling. "On days when I do not work, I am working on my image," she testified. "I have to hit the gym. I have beauty appointments. I have to work toward my next job and maintaining my image, just like an athlete. When I work, it can be a 16-hour day."

While Evangelista isn't poor, Pinault's family is worth an estimated $11.5 billion -- which makes the child support request seem comparatively reasonable. Besides, he doesn't seem to have any trouble spending money on his other 3-year-old. For daughter Valentina, Pinault purchased a $12 million estate in Los Angeles, which is being held in trust to the tune of $50,000 a month. Kind of takes "playing house" to a whole other level, no?

Jay-Z, Kanye West Warned By Los: Crown Ain't Safe

DMV Music rapper tells Mixtape Daily about Worth the Wait, inspired by Lil Wayne.

Fire Starter: Los

Baltimore rapper Los sure is confident in his ability. Then again, why wouldn't he be? The DMV representative got his start locally, then signed with Diddy's Bad Boy label around 2005. The deal didn't pan out, but now Los, who has been a free agent since 2008, is aiming for rap's top spot: He thinks he has a shot at one day surpassing the likes of rap kings Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne.

Los' upcoming mixtape, The Crown Ain't Safe, is a proclamation of his self-perceived greatness. "When I say The Crown Ain't Safe, I just mean whoever is viewed as #1," Los told Mixtape Daily before referencing basketball great Michael Jordan and his one-time sidekick. "I just feel like it's for the taking. Why wouldn't you want to be #1? I'm not Scottie Pippen: I want to be #1."

He almost had his shot: After an audition for Diddy during which Los performed a 10-minute freestyle for the hip-hop mogul, the young spitter earned himself a deal. But after Los' street-affiliated independent label Block Incorporated disbanded, Diddy backed out. Los was released from the label in 2008 without ever dropping an album. He then began to freestyle over popular rap tracks like "A Milli" and post them on YouTube, building his buzz virally.

In total, Los estimates he's recorded 10 mixtapes since 2008, including his latest, Worth the Wait, a tape inspired by Lil Wayne. "The competitive nature of this art form drives me," he explained. "Wayne dropped Sorry 4 the Wait, and it just gave me this idea: 'Man, I got a project coming out, and people are kinda waiting for it too. I'll drop Worth the Wait.' "

Worth the Wait is merely an appetizer for what Los hopes will be his biggest tape, the ambitiously titledThe Crown Ain't Safe. He makes no reservations about wanting to eventually be the game's top rapper, but Los insists he isn't launching any personal attacks.

"Jay-Z, I would never disrespect him. I have an immense amount of respect, principles and morals. I'm not just some cannon coming at people," he said. "I just feel like there are ways to be better than Jay-Z, there are ways to be better than Kanye West. When you talk about success and artistry and doing amazing works, these guys are on a whole nother planet. You won't surpass that because that's a legacy that they left. It's because of that you get to do what you do. But I just think the future is always incredible."

Does Your High School Beauty Routine Embarrass You Now?

Photo of Annika Harris

Back when I was in high school, I was pretty high maintenance (even though I didn't have a job). My brows were groomed every two weeks. My acrylic-wrapped nails were inches long. And my beauty mark, courtesy of liquid eyeliner, had to rest "just so" on my left cheek. That's right, I, Annika Harris, committed these three beauty sins throughout high school, and even a bit in college. But only two of these cardinal sins embarrass me now.

Sean Kingston Promises 'Straight Heat' On Next Album

Recovering singer says during 'MTV First: Sean Kingston' he hopes to release new music by year's end.

After recalling the incidents of his "life-or-death" accident during "MTV First: Sean Kingston," the singer opened up about his plans to get back to work and release new music by year's end.

"[I'm] focused on music again, about to start working on a new album and get back out there again," he said during the chat at his house in Miami. "I'm excited about the project. It's going to be really dope."

Given the intensity of his accident and the recovery process, Kingston has a whole new perspective on songwriting. "I haven't lost no memory; I think I'm even better at writing and stuff," he said. "Being in the hospital, having all this time off, I've been writing and coming up with different ideas. I'm ready to go."

Kingston is best known for his reggae-infused pop tracks like "Beautiful Girls" and "Take You There," and his still-in-the-works new album will certainly touch on the sound that catapulted him to stardom. "I'm going back in with my producer J.R. [Rotem], who did really big records for me. I'm going back to the whole reggae, island-pop thing. I'm going back to my roots," he said.

"I think it's definitely going to open up a lot of people, because now I got a story to tell," he later said. "The world needs to know what I'm coming with, 'cause I'm coming with straight heat. I've been down. I've been in the house coming up with ideas. My producer J.R., he's a hitmaker. It's gonna be my third album, I'm older now. It's gonna be crazy."

While in the hospital, Kingston had his jaw wired shut for a time. It was a situation Kanye West once found himself in that sparked his first hit "Through the Wire." Kingston certainly wouldn't rule out writing a song about his recovery — or working with 'Ye, for that matter.

"Oh man, he's in my top five rappers," he said. "I met him twice, and he's a great person. He's definitely talented. I'm actually waiting for him and the Jay-Z album [Watch the Throne] to drop. I'd be more than excited to collaborate with him."

Kingston — the Jamaican-American singer who broke onto the scene with the "Stand by Me"-sampling song "Beautiful Girls" and scored another hit with the Justin Bieber collabo "Eenie Meenie" last year — was rushed to the hospital May 29 after a jet-ski crash. He explained to Sway that he was going about 35 miles an hour when he miscalculated how high the tide had risen and collided with a bridge.

Eddie Cibrian Defends LeAnn Rimes' "Perfect" Bod

Eddie Cibrian Defends LeAnn Rimes' "Perfect" Bod

LeAnn Rimes may have received criticism for her super-slim body, but the singer's husband, Eddie Cibrian, thinks she looks just fine.

"I think she looks wonderful," the The Playboy Club actor gushed to Extra. "She is very healthy, and to me -- perfect."

After posting a few bikini shots of herself on Twitter earlier this year, many followers took issue with Rimes' boney appearance. But Rimes assured them, "This is my body, and I can promise you I'm a healthy girl," she said. "I'm just lean. Thanks for your concern, but no need to be."

Cibrian says that he and his new wife make staying fit a priority, and that they go to the gym as a couple. "She [LeAnn] really loves to work out," the 38-year-old actor said of Rimes. "If I had my preference, I'd rather go outside and play basketball or golf."

We have to admit that Eddie is saying all the right things. Whether or not we think LeAnn could indulge in a sandwich or two, it's nice to know her hubby loves her just the way she is.
