Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Making Fewer Movies

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Making Fewer Movies

Angelina Jolie says that she isn't quitting acting -- but says that she and Brad Pitt will be doing less of it as they get older. In a new interview with the Financial Times, Jolie, 36, talks about how her passion for acting has cooled since becoming a mother.

"I've never not been grateful to be an actor... but I think when I was younger I needed (acting) more," Jolie explains. "I was trying to question things in life so you find these characters that help you find things and grow... It's like being in therapy, in a way."

Now, says the actress, "I'm older and I know who I am... and I'm less interested in the character helping me answer something... than in being able to answer it for myself, as a woman, as an adult, with my family."

And partner Pitt, apparently, feels the same way. "I've been working for a long time, he's been working for a long time... We've had a nice run and don't want to be doing this our whole lives," says Jolie. "There are a lot of other things to do."

Although Jolie may be feeling ambivalent about acting, she's fallen in love with another entertainment career: directing. The Oscar winner has just completed post-production on In the Land of Blood and Honey, the Bosnian War romance that she wrote and directed. The project is close to her heart, as Jolie has worked with Bosnia in her capacity as U.N. goodwill ambassador.

This weekend, a tearful Jolie was honored by the Sarajevo film festival for bringing both her film and her humanitarian efforts to Bosnia. "Tonight we are giving the honorary Heart of Sarajevo to a great artist, not only for the great impact she has in the world of cinema but also for persisting and her active engagement in the complexities of the real world we live in," said festival director Mirsad Purivatra upon presenting Jolie with the award.

But even with the outlets of motherhood, directing and charity work, there are still some things that Jolie chooses to express through acting. She tells the Financial Times that she chose to make the action film Salt shortly after giving birth to twins Vivienne and Knox, now 3.

"I'd just had the twins. I'd been in a nightgown for a very, very long time," she recalls. "And I was sitting in the hospital breastfeeding and reading this script in my nightgown, feeling so soft and mama... and I was flipping these pages and it was all fighting and shooting guns. I thought, 'That's what I need. I need to get out of my nightgown and I need a gun. I'm sure many a woman who has been through childbirth has thought 'It would be nice to get a little physical, get a little wild... to remember what that other side is like." Sounds like Jolie has found the perfect balance.

Deathly Hallows' DVD Will Feature 'Crazy Stuff

'Harry Potter' actor Tom Felton teases 'mega-edition' at 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' premiere.

Although this year's big blockbuster box-office record-breaker, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" is still reeling in the dough at theaters — we're only in week three of its release, after all — it's never too early to start thinking about what might be on the DVD and Blu-Ray versions of the film when it's released in November.

MTV News caught up with "Potter" actor Tom Felton on Thursday at the premiere of his other film being released this year, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes," to find out what more of Draco Malfoy we might see on the DVD.

"They shot a bunch of stuff," Felton said. "There are documentaries and us doing all sorts of [things on set]. You saw us playing golf last time. There was all sorts of crazy stuff. They were trying to compose this mega-edition," he teased, but was not able to go into any great detail about exactly what will make the final cut. "I'm sure there will be a bunch of stuff. I'm excited for that."

Felton revealed he was able to come away from the 10-year experience with more than just incredible memories: He also scored some sweet "Potter"-related mementos.

"I have my ring, Draco's ring, which is cool," he revealed. "I have a script that's signed by the cast, and they actually signed it as characters. Helena Bonham Carter signed it as 'Auntie Bella,' which is quite sweet."

Check out everything we've got on " Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2."

Kings Of Leon Reschedule Show After Caleb Followill's 'Heat Exhaustion'

Announcement came after Friday show was cut short when Followill abruptly left the stage.

The Kings of Leon were forced to bring a Friday-night show in Dallas to an abrupt end after frontman Caleb Followill complained of voice problems and then told the crowd at the Gexa Energy Pavilion, "I'm gonna go backstage and I'm gonna vomit. I'm gonna drink a beer and I'm gonna come back out and play three more songs."

Followill then left the stage and never returned, leading his bandmates to apologize to the crowd, saying, "Caleb's just a little unfit to play the rest of the show. ... It's really not our fault, it's Caleb."

Immediately following the incident, KOL bassist Jared Followill took to his Twitter account to further apologize and hinted at a growing strife within the band, writing, "There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed ... I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."

In YouTube footage of the Friday show, Caleb Followill is seen engaging the crowd in several lengthy diatribes, urging them to help him sing the words because his voice was "100 percent gone," and adding, "I'm gonna drink some beer and I'm gonna drink some tequila and I'm gonna have a f---ing good time." He also made repeated references to the heat, saying, "Just for the record, I'm not drunk, I'm just f---ing hot. ... I'm about to fall down over here, because I'm so daggum hot."

In the aftermath of the Dallas show, the band announced they were postponing a Saturday concert at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, claiming that Followill was suffering from "heat exhaustion and dehydration ... [which caused] his vocal chords to seize."

The Houston show was rescheduled for September 22, and the band said they would return to Dallas on September 21 and that all tickets from the aborted show would be honored.

"Kings of Leon apologize to their fans for any inconvenience this may have caused and look forward to seeing their fans again in September," the statement concluded.

There's no word on whether the band's Tuesday show in Tampa would go on as scheduled. A spokesperson for the band did not have any additional comment when contacted by MTV News.

Lindsay Lohan's SkyCouch Puppet Sketch: Watch Now!

Now that her necklace-stealing scandal is in the past, Lindsay Lohan managed to laugh at her legal woes during a puppet sketch.

While on house arrest back in April, the ?Mean Girls? star sat down for an interview with a furry puppet for the New Zealand TV show ?On the SkyCouch with Rico.?

As the puppet poked fun of the situation, Lohan was a good sport about it and even mustered up a few laughs.

At one point, the puppet handed Linds a box containing a necklace as a thank you for doing the show and jokingly added, ?It?s all paid for!?

Steve Carell Talks Emmys and Fatherhood in Interview

Steve Carell Talks Emmys and Fatherhood in Interview

Since 2006, Steve Carell has received an Emmy nod each year -- but never an actual Emmy -- for his role as goofball manager Michael Scott on The Office. And now that he has officially stashed away his "World's Best Boss" mug and left the show, Sept. 18 will be the actor's final shot at winning gold for the hit NBC sitcom.

So, will the sixth time be the charm? Carell doesn't seem too sure.

"I wouldn't put money on it that I would win, but it would certainly be nice," the 48-year-old actor tells iVillage. "I’m going to go with an open mind and an open heart."

Though Carell has moved on from The Office gang (though he swears they all keep in touch!), he can currently be seen on the big screen starring in the hilarious new romantic comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love. (in theaters July 29). Yet the real-life dad of two says raising his kids -- Annie, 10, and Jonny, 7 -- is the best role he's ever played.

"I'd like to think I'm a good father," he says. "You're generally good at the things, or better at the things, that you enjoy, and that’s something that I enjoy more than anything."

Watch our exclusive video interview to find out whether Carell is a strict dad and why he says he hit the jackpot when he married his wife Nancy 15 years ago.
