Life is changing for the cast of "Glee," both onscreen and off.

Thursday's Emmy nominations were kind to the cast, but creator Ryan Murphy's announcement Wednesday that leads Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will exit the show after the third season came as a bit of a shock to the actors involved.

Apparently, neither Colfer nor Monteith was aware that their time with Fox's hit musical show would be ending so soon, though they did know their characters would be written off at some point to coincide with their impending high school graduations.

"I didn't necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year," Colfer told "Access Hollywood". "I knew something like that was coming up eventually. I mean, we can't be there forever. I don't necessarily want to leave so soon, but it's fine. It's what it is, and all things come to an end."

Fortunately, things are on an upswing for Colfer. He earned his second Emmy nomination for the show Thursday, and after winning the Golden Globe earlier this year for his performance, there's a good chance he'll be taking Emmy gold home come September 18. Then, Friday morning (July 15), there was the announcement that "Mad Men" star Christina Hendricks will be joining Colfer in his upcoming film project "Struck by Lightning," which he both wrote and stars in. Sarah Hyland of "Modern Family" and "My Best Friend's Wedding" actor Dermot Mulroney jumped onboard as well.

Colfer also can look forward to the release of "Glee: The 3D Concert Movie," coming August 12. The trailer for the film debuted online Thursday.

The three exiting "Glee" stars all seem to be remaining optimistic about their upcoming departure. "We always knew we'd graduate in real time. It's all part of the plan and it's all good! It's going to make Season 3 amazing!!!" Michele tweeted after the announcement hit the web.

Both she and Monteith also have upcoming film projects. Michele has a role in Garry Marshall's ensemble rom-com "New Year's Eve," filming now, and Monteith has the upcoming "Sisters & Brothers" in addition to his recently released "Monte Carlo." Then there's also the rumor, courtesy of RumorFix.com, that Michele and Colfer will be receiving their own spin-off show.

The reality star duo could be seen walking arm-in-arm as they arrived in the Big Apple to shoot Lamar's latest Nike advertisement.

Khloe took to her Twitter to dish about the day's duties, writing, "Who?s in NYC? My hubby will be filming a Nike commercial all day around the city and ill be watching from the side lines! #QueensSh*tBaby."

The 26-year-old later gushed, ?Seeing my man at work is amazing! I love watching him do his thing!."

'Harry Potter' Stars Sing "Party in the U.S.A.," Show Off American Accents

'Harry Potter' Stars Sing "Party in the U.S.A.," Show Off American Accents

Sure, Hogwarts taught the Harry Potter kids how to use a wand and make a shrinking potion -- but those wizards seem to have skipped American Culture 101! In a hilarious new video from MTV (a follow-up to last year's American accent challenge), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2 stars Rupert Grint, Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis get schooled in American films, slang and Miley Cyrus hits. Watch the video below!

As far as we're concerned, Felton, 23, is the hands-down winner of the challenge. He knows that George Washington is the guy on the dollar bill, and can convincingly say "boo-yah" (if not "brewskies"). Sure, he thinks Robert Pattinson is named Edward Cullen and is American and that Kim Kardashian is Jennifer Lopez, but that's just -- well, hilarious. And we love that he decided to rap "Party in the U.S.A." Perhaps he wasn't joking about that rap career?

Poor Rupert Grint, on the other hand, won't be getting cast in any American roles -- or music videos! -- anytime soon. But the 22-year-old has got his own sort of charm, so he'll probably be fine.

It's a pity that they couldn't get Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in the studio this year, as Radcliffe has the best American accent of the cast -- and watching Watson stumble over the word "mozzarella" was priceless. If you missed the previous video, check it out below!

Lawsuit: Shaq Told Me to KILL People

Filed under: Shaquille O'Neal, Shaunie O'Neal, Celebrity Justice, TMZ Sports

Shaquille O'Neal "requested and directed" his former friend to kill several people -- including a gang member, a record producer, and a woman he impregnated ... those are the shocking allegations in a new lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

Shaq's former pal Robert Ross -- an ex-gang member -- is suing O'Neal for allegedly masterminding a plot to have him kidnapped by other gang members back in 2008.

In the documents, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Ross claims O'Neal organized and funded a series of murders and brutal attacks on people who did him wrong.

In the suit, Ross alleges, "For many years O'Neal requested and directed [Ross] to perform many personal favors and directed him to perform various tasks including, but not limited to: ordering [Ross] to kill a member of the Downtown Gangster Crips who had disrespected O'Neal in front of his wife Shaunie."

O'Neal is also accused of issuing "an order to kill a woman whom O'Neal had impregnated and paid for her abortion" and "an order to kill a renown record producer."

Ross also alleges that O'Neal issued "an order to break an NBA player's shooting arm."

Ross -- who never says whether the alleged hits were carried out --  is suing for unspecified damages.

Shaq's lawyer, Michael J. Kump, tells TMZ ... "The outlandish claims by Robert Ross in his civil complaint are pure fiction.  Shaquille O'Neal befriended Mr. Ross in an attempt to help turn his life around.  Sadly, Mr. Ross abused that friendship again and again.

Kump adds, "Shaquille's commitment to law enforcement is well-known and documented.  He will not dignify these defamanatory allegations with a response."
