Glen Campbell Has Alzheimer's Disease

Glen Campbell Has Alzheimer's Disease

"Rhinestone Cowboy" singer and country music legend Glen Campbell, 75, has revealed to People that he has Alzheimer's.

The Grammy winner and his wife, Kim, decided to go public with the diagnosis in order to alert fans to his condition. Campbell is planning a farewell tour this coming autumn and wants concert goers to be prepared. "Glen is still an awesome guitar player and singer," says Kim. "But if he flubs a lyric or gets confused on stage, I wouldn’t want people to think, 'What's the matter with him? Is he drunk?'"

Campbell has been suffering from short-term memory loss for a number of years, but only received the Alzheimer's diagnosis six months ago. The diagnosis has not altered his plans for the upcoming tour; if anything, Campbell and his wife see it as a precious opportunity to allow the fans, some of whom are Campbell's age or older, to show up and support the artist they have loved for decades. The consciousness of his condition will surely add to the emotional depth of the tour.

Not only will the tour be an opportunity for the fans to thank Campbell, but it will be a great way for him to return the favor, while he still can. As he says, "I'd like to thank them for sticking with me through thick and thin... I still love making music. And I still love performing for my fans."

True Blood Stars Celebrate New Season...with Fried Chicken?

? The True Blood cast toasted season four inside a Hollywood hotspot that'd been turned into the show's vampire club Fangtasia. Joe Manganiello and fiancé Audra Marie chowed down on fried chicken and corn pudding, while Anna Paquin let a friend try on one of her rings as husband Stephen Moyer animatedly chatted with friends a table away. Meanwhile, a dateless Alexander Skarsgard worked the room solo.

Ryan Dunn Was Driving Drunk at the Time of Fatal Crash

Ryan Dunn Was Driving Drunk at the Time of Fatal Crash

As fans grieve the loss of Jackass star Ryan Dunn, police have revealed that Dunn was very drunk -- and was driving far above the speed limit -- at the time of his fatal car crash early Monday morning.

Dunn had been drinking with friends in a Philadelphia bar before he drove his Porsche through a guardrail on Route 322 in West Goshen Township, Pa., killing himself and a friend, Zachary Hartwell, in the passenger seat. Although witnesses claim that Dunn didn't seem that drunk when he left the bar, West Goshen Police Chief Michael Carroll tells Pennsylvania newspaper the Daily Local News that the autopsy and toxicology report reveal that Dunn's blood alcohol content (BAC) was .196 -- well over twice the .08 legal limit in Pennsylvania -- at the time of the wreck. Dunn reportedly drank multiple shots and at least three beers; no other substances were found in his system.

Police are also reporting that Dunn was traveling between 132 and 140 miles per hour at the time of the crash. Dunn had a history of speeding, with at least 23 previous citations for speeding and reckless driving, according to a report on Philly.com. The extreme speed may account for the severity of the crash, which Carroll called "by far the worst I've seen."

"I've never seen a car destroyed in an automobile accident the way this car was even before it caught on fire," Carroll told the press. Police believe that both Dunn and Hartwell were killed instantly by blunt force head trauma when the car crashed into the woods, before the car caught fire.

Fans have been memorializing Dunn with flowers and signs at the site of the crash on Pennsylvania Route 322, less than 100 miles from Dunn's home. One of the visitors to the site was Dunn's longtime friend and Jackass costar Bam Margera, who sobbed to news cameras about his friend. "I've never lost anyone that I care about. And it's my best friend," Margera, 31, told Fox 29. "I was in Arizona when I heard. I just remember I was with some friends having the best time ever. At 12:30, I just started punching out the windows of the rental van and ripping out the speakers. I don't even know why." The heartbreaking video interview is below.

Britney Spears Fights Cyborg Paparazzi In 'I Wanna Go' Video

Chris Marrs Piliero-directed clip features 'Weeds' actor Guillermo Diaz.

Britney Spears proved her comedic chops on the small screen in her cameo on "How I Met Your Mother," and now she's once again displaying her funny bone in the video for "I Wanna Go," which dropped Wednesday (June 22).

Like he did with Ke$ha before, director Chris Marrs Piliero makes off-kilter pop culture references and pokes fun at the idea of the sexy pop star. There's a number of Spears-related references, including a polka dot bikini top as an homage, perhaps, to Minnie Mouse, her skull-wearing Mickey Mouse ears T-shirt and a movie theater marquee that reads "Crossroads 2: Cross Harder."

Spears has touched on her relationship with the media in the past, but perhaps not with this much humor or self-deprecation.

The video opens with a press conference, where reporters ask the superstar crazy questions such as, "Is it true you banned junk food, smiles, candy, sunshine and laughter from your Femme Fatale Tour?" The answer: Yes, obviously.

"Can you confirm reports that you're pregnant with Brad Pitt's love child?" The answer: "That is false: It's quintuplets."

Eventually annoyed by the onslaught of increasingly dumb questions, Britney declares, "F--- you" to the reporters in the room. The only person who passes the test is "Weeds" and "Half Baked" star Guillermo Diaz, who is hanging out, wearing a hat that only the Burger King could love. She then dashes out onto the streets in her Avril Lavigne-worthy, pop-punk princess finest.

It seems Britney has decided to live life on her own terms. She grabs the bum of an autograph-seeking fan. Then, she flashes a group of men, and as a cop tries to arrest her, she has her way with him right there on the street. Britney just doesn't care anymore, and why should she? She's finally having fun.

Britney displays the sass and charm fans fell in love with a decade ago during performance shots, where she flirts with the camera, her eyes as big and wide as her smile.

Fans are back with her as she makes her way around town and, of course, the paparazzi have found her. For one photographer, she gives an impromptu fashion shoot before smashing his camera. And when she finds herself surrounded by more of his cronies, she takes them out one by one with any singer's best weapon: her microphone.

There's a surprising turn, however: As the mic slams itself against the photogs, pulling the skin off their bodies, it reveals that they are cyborgs, much to Brit's dismay. So, what's a girl to do?

She's rescued by Guillermo, who drives her through the desert. She dances in the car, wearing only a bikini top and miniskirt. And just when she thinks she's safe, it's revealed that he too is a cyborg. Can't Brit ever catch a break?

The video returns to the press conference, where the pop star awakes from a daydream and reveals, "Guillermo, I had the strangest dream."

"I love dreams," he tells her. "And seashells," he says, placing several in her hand. "Come on, let's get out of here."

But, is Britney truly safe with Guillermo? In an homage to the final frame of Michael Jackson's classic "Thriller" video, the clip closes with Diaz turning his head toward the camera to reveal his red, glowing robot eyes.
