Cat Hair You Can Wear

As the owner of two very large, fluffy cat beasts, I often walk around covered in about a pound and a half of luscious grey and orange cat fur. You're jealous, I know. Jewelry designer Heidi Abrahamson takes things to the next level, though, and will create custom jewelry from your cat's fur. Crazy cat lady or innovative designer? You decide. [Modern Cat]

Brangelina, Johnny Depp to Set Cannes Film Fest Abuzz

The 64th Cannes Film Festival kicked off Wednesday, with celebrities, media and film fans all converging on the French Riviera for a week-and-a-half of star-studded red carpets and eagerly anticipated film premieres!

It wouldn't be Cannes without Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in attendance, and luckily the duo will not disappoint -- they'll both be there in support of their own films (as well as each other, of course). Jolie's animated comedy Kung Fu Panda 2 (for which she has said her kids are her "toughest critics") is premiering at the festival, and Pitt's long-awaited drama The Tree of Life (from celebrated director Terence Malick) will finally make its first bow. While Brad and Angie are arriving on different days (Jolie flies in Thursday for her premiere, with Pitt following her next Monday), the Hollywood power couple is expected to unite for a stroll down the red carpet at Monday's Tree of Life premiere.

Other stars expected to make appearances are Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz, for the premiere of the highly anticipated Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (opening in the U.S. May 20).

Salma Hayek and Antonio Banderas, meanwhile, arrived on Wednesday to premiere some advance footage from their Shrek prequel, Puss in Boots, due out November.

Woody Allen's film Midnight in Paris opened the entire festival, with stars Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams joining the legendary Woody Allen for photos on Wednesday.

Also expected to make a splash at the festival are Jodie Foster and her longtime friend Mel Gibson. They'll be there in support of their quirky indie drama The Beaver. Though the film has already opened in limited release -- and to tepid box-office reception -- in the United States, European audiences are eager as beavers to get a look at the flick, which revolves around a mentally ill man (Gibson) who communicates with the world via a beaver hand puppet.

Ryan Gosling, Robert De Niro (fresh off the 10th annual Tribeca Film Festival in New York) and Kirsten Dunst are also expected in Cannes. Gosling stars as a stuntman with a disturbing side career in Drive and Dunst appears in Lars von Trier's apocalyptic drama Melancholia, while De Niro will be serving as Jury president in the Cannes Film competition. Fellow jurors include Olivier Assayas, Jude Law and Uma Thurman.

So buckle up -- it's going to be an exciting week in the south of France!

Lady Gaga: Rocker-Clad in Cannes!

After putting in some serious rehearsal time, Lady Gaga was spotted leaving a television studio on the Martinez Hotel Beach in Cannes, France earlier today (May 11).

The always-fashionable Mother Monster sported a racy take on biker style, wearing a studded black choker, bra, studded leather vest, a pair of scandalous, knee-high studded boots.

The pop star's footwear was actually a cause for concern when she showed up for mentoring duties at "American Idol," as host Ryan Seacrest explained, ?She came in broadcast standards-sensitive shoes, wearing a very popular female tool on her feet."

While the specific device shall go unnamed, you can catch Gaga mentor the final four contestants and see how the show edits around her explicit shoe when "Idol" airs tonight (May 11) at 8pm EST on Fox.

Kyle Richards & Brandi Glanville Fighting on 'Housewives'?

Kyle Richards & Brandi Glanville Fighting on 'Housewives'?

Brandi Glanville has now officially joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills -- and in true Housewives fashion, it took the new cast member about five minutes to start creating drama of her own!

According to Us Weekly, Glanville, 38 -- best known as the jilted ex-wife of actor Eddie Cibrian (he famously left her for singer LeAnn Rimes) -- has been "going at it" with cast member Kyle Richards, 45.

"They got into a fight and Brandi lunged at Kyle," an insider tells Us. "They had to be separated by producers."

Sounds serious. Could Kyle's spat with Brandi replace last season's feud with Camille Grammer? Or maybe they'll all pick sides and form teams (Housewives With Famous Ex-Husbands vs. Housewives with Famous Siblings?).

Speaking of feuds, viewers watched last season as 39-year-old Beverly Hills housewife Taylor Armstrong and her banker hubby of seven years, Russell, openly bickered in front of Bravo's cameras. While Us Weekly reports that the couple has secretly separated due to "huge marital problems related to finances," Taylor's rep confirms to People exclusively that they have not split.

"They've gone through therapy and they have issues within their marriage that they're actively working on, but they're both really committed to making their marriage work," says a source close to Armstrong.

The second season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to start later this year.

Levi Johnston Book Cover: Released, Hilarious

You gotta love the title and COVER of Levi Johnston's forthcoming, thought-provoking memoir, Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palin's Crosshairs.

If nothing else. the guy credit for his sense of humor.

It's hard not to look at the pic below and not laugh. Hopefully whoever Levi got to ghost-write this (he's not the sharpest tool in the shed) does it justice:

Levi Johnston Book Cover

The official teaser on the inside of the book jacket reads as such:

"He got naked and got inside Bristol Palin. Then he got naked in Playgirl. Now it's time for Levi to get you the naked TRUTH about Sarah Palin. Respect."

Just kidding. We made that up. But you have to admit, as far as memoirs from guys most famous for mistreating the women who made them famous go, Levi's already beats the heck out of Jesse James' American Outlaw.

Why even try to appear sympathetic or serious. At least Levi Johnston embraces what he is - and his adventures with the Palins do need to be cataloged.

Justin Bieber, Chris Brown Set To Shoot 'Next 2 You' Video

Scooter Braun, Biebs' manager, teases 'crazy' clip from F.A.M.E.

Chris Brown recently took the stage with Justin Bieber during the Biebs' tour stop in Australia, where they performed "Up," and now the two will begin work on a video for Brown's F.A.M.E. track "Next 2 You."

Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, confirmed the video plans on Twitter. "NP- #Next2You w/ @justinbieber and @chrisbrown - video treatment is crazy ... yeah it's coming!!" he wrote.

With little known about what these two have in store for fans, MTV News spoke to Brown in March about working with the teen star on the track. "Being able to collab with [Bieber] was great," Brown said. "He's a young, energetic cat, so being able to work with him, with the fanbase he has, was incredible. I know a lot of little girls are going to love this record.

"I wouldn't say [he's] my protégé. He's doing his thing at a young age, and I was doing mine at a young age, so being able to see him come up is dope."

The midtempo ballad is about the power of love and making the pledge to spend your life with that special someone. The chorus says, "One day when the sky is fallin'/ I'll be standing right next to you, right next to you/ Nothing will ever come between us/ 'Cause I'll be standing right next to you, right next to you."

While it's a feel-good track, Brown joked that when recording the song, he missed his chance to hit the studio with Bieber. "I actually stood him up on accident," Brown recalled. "He was kind of mad ... I was all the way on the other side of town handling some business, 'girl business,' and I was rushing back, and by that time, he's like, 'Man, I'm leaving, bro. I did it — just check it out.' And I looked at it and listened to it and I was like, 'Man, this is crazy.' ... He's a great kid."

Cannes Top Five Most Anticipated Movies: From 'Pirates' To 'Paris'

Woody Allen's 'Midnight in Paris' and 'Tree of Life,' starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, among the films getting advance buzz.

The MTV Movies team has landed in the South of France, where the water sparkles beneath the Mediterranean sun, the temperature is expected to hit the high-70s by midweek and some of the biggest movie stars in the world are jetting into town.

It's the 64th Cannes Film Festival, and the action is set to kick off on Wednesday, when we'll be forced to put aside the crêpes and the red wine and turn our attention to motion picture matters. With Hollywood blockbusters opening next to indie movies from legendary auteurs, the festival has got it all this year. Though it's hard to choose, here are our picks for the five most anticipated films heading into Cannes this year.

5. "Midnight in Paris"
A favorite of the Euro set, Woody Allen opens Cannes this year with his 41st film. "Midnight" stars Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen and others in a romantic comedy about an American family traveling abroad. The director has misfired during his last two outings at the cinema — the promising but ultimately forgettable "Whatever Works" and the blink-and-you-missed-it "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" — so we'll be looking for Woody to bounce back this year among the French who so ardently adore him.

4. "Melancholia"
One never knows what one is going to get from Danish helmer Lars von Trier. "Melancholia," we know, tells the tale of a wedding shortly before the destruction of Earth. Kristen Dunst stars as the gloomy bride opposite Charlotte Gainsbourg, Alexander Skarsgård and Kiefer Sutherland. What actually will transpire, though, when this dismally romantic story butts up against a hallucinatory sci-fi backdrop in the hands of von Trier is anybody's guess.

3. "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"
Following the fourth "Pirates" film's premiere at Disneyland this weekend, Johnny Depp takes his swashbuckling hero overseas for Cannes. With a new director in Rob Marshall behind the scenes and fresh faces in Penélope Cruz and Ian McShane in front of the camera, we're hoping that "Stranger Tides" brings back the popcorn pleasures of the franchise after a lackluster and overly long third installment.

2. "The Skin I Live In"
Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar brings his formal inventiveness and emotional fearlessness to Cannes once again with this Antonio Banderas-starring drama about a plastic surgeon who attempts to create a new skin years after his wife was burned in a car crash. Almodóvar won best director at Cannes in 1999 for "All About My Mother" and Sony Pictures Classics has already slated "Skin I Live In" for an awards-season-friendly November release, so the hype is high headed into the festival.

1. "The Tree of Life"
Long delayed, wickedly buzzy and starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn as a father and son in a time-hopping story line that boldly flits across generations and reaches back to the time of the dinosaurs, "Tree of Life" has almost nowhere to go but down once its first frame flickers across the screen. Unless, that is, director Terrence Malick has a true winner on his hands. If that's the case — and we hope it is — this is a film we'll be talking about a lot come Oscar season.
