Alexander, Joe, and Stephen Chat True Blood's Fourth Season With Anna

The beautiful men of True Blood stepped out in LA on Saturday night to discuss their show at the Paley Center. Joe Manganiello and Alexander Skarsgard posed without their respective lady friends, Audra Marie and Kate Bosworth, but Stephen Moyer had his wife and costar Anna Paquin by his side. They headed inside with their fellow HBO stars Rutina Wesley, Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Kristin Bauer, and Debra Ann Woll to share a bit about their upcoming fourth season. The books, which inspired the series, may be coming to a close, but there's a lot more shirtless goodness for fans to look forward to on HBO. Alexander spoke about his character, Eric, who apparently suffers from amnesia after what went down in the somewhat disappointing last episodes. He said, "This powerful character is just gone-it's not what we've built up over the past three years; it is just gone. And it's a lot of fun for me because it's the polar opposite of who Eric really is. . . He is lost. He doesn't know how he is, he knows he's a vampire, but he slowly finds out stuff, like, 'Did I do that? I killed those people? Why would I do that? Oh. Really?' It's not easy to hear - and not knowing who he can trust, who's a friend or an enemy. He's very vulnerable."

Eminem Producer Doc Ish Brings The Treatment

'We Made You' producer tells Mixtape Daily about his debut album.

Behind the Beats: Doc Ish

Doc Ish got his big break when Eminem tapped the Connecticut producer's beat to use for his comeback single "We Made You," from the Detroit MC's 2009 album, Relapse.

Although the song was panned, mainly due to Em's dated formula of picking on celebs, the rollicking production caught the ears of many, including those who would eventually join Doc Ish for his debut album.

The producer released the digital album The Treatment late last year, with the physical product set to arrive this spring. The title is a play on the producer's ability and also his real-life health battles, including lupus and a heart issues.

Doc told Mixtape Daily, "A friend of mind was like, 'You in and out of the hospital so much, you're always with the doctor, you're Doc Ish, why don't you make it like "the treatment"? You go in there and give people a dose of real hip-hop and give them what they lacking. It's like someone not getting their nutrients or getting their right foods, they're missing out by not listening to the right hip-hop.' "

One listen to the project, and fans can consider themselves healed.

Five-Star Stellar Hits

"Is It A Dream?" featuring Joe Budden, Talib Kweli, Sean Price and Angelica C.: "I sent a song to Talib that he said wasn't for him," Doc recalled. "And that kind of challenged me. So that day, I made this and sent it back to Mos Def's people, 'cause that's who I was going through to get to Talib, and they responded back immediately: 'It's dope, and he loves it. Let's do it.' Then Joe came up [to Hartford, Connecticut] that week, and I gave him the concept of the idea, and he could tell by the beat already, so he hopped in the booth one day and did what he does best. Then I got up with Sean Price and we were in the studio, and I don't think Sean heard anybody's verses either. He just went on and annihilated it. Then I got up with Talib last, and it was just amazing working with him. All of them. Bringing it together was awesome. It grew so much before it came out that people that heard about it wanted in, so I made a lot of remixes of it because people were mad they weren't on it. I'm gonna start releasing those soon."

"Animal Grammar" featuring KRS-One and B. Burroughs: "I was in the studio with Buckshot when we were doing 'Make Moves,' and then KRS walks in, 'cause he just signed [to Duck Down]," Doc explained. "It was awesome to just be able to sit there. It was amazing. When I spoke to him, you know, he's a busy, busy, busy guy. He had to tour and go do this and that. His manager called me later and was like, 'We're in New York. KRS wants to get on your project. He loves the beats you sent him.' So when I got up with him, it was such an honor and it was crazy to talk to him. You learn so much. He was supposed to just do one verse, but he was like, 'Doc, why do I only get a verse?' I told him the whole album has a mixture of different people on it. He jumped in the booth, 'cause he wrote mad verses, recorded both verses and said, 'Pick one.' I said, 'Oh my god, you can't be serious. It's like, do you want Jennifer Lopez or Jennifer Lopez?' And he just told me, 'Keep 'em both.' I was like, 'Thank God.' "

"FOH" featuring the Abnormals (Doc Ish, Apollo Swyf, Colloso, Belly the Beast Arteese): "Me and my crew have been together for years," Doc explained. "And years ago, we had a song called 'F--- Out of Here," and the group we were in couldn't get their verses out. Years later, after my hiatus, my health, working with Eminem, it just put us back in full mode. We were back together. So we were all in the studio and recorded a whole album, maybe two albums in one week. And, basically, I was messing with some guitar samples, and I don't know how it started, but someone was talking about something in the news, and everyone was like, 'F--- out of here, that didn't happen.' We were all smoking and drinking, and it became a big collabo. So we all came up with ideas and jumped in the booth and did it right on the spot. It's something everybody says; you see it on Twitter, Facebook, it was one of those things we decided to get out before anybody else does."

Who Made It to the 'American Idol' Top 13? (Not 12!)

Who Made It to the 'American Idol' Top 13? (Not 12!)

Thursday night's two-hour American Idol results episode was a prolonged nail-biter, and in the end the Top 24 hopefuls were reduced to the Top 13.

Low-voiced country singer Scotty McCreery was the first to get the thumbs up. Then both Pia Toscano and 16-year-old Lauren Alaina got the good news from Ryan Seacrest that their Idol dreams were still in tact.

The winners' circle was soon joined by Myspace contestant Karen Rodriguez, "sexy" Seth Rogen-lookalike Casey Abrams and "I'm not a crier" Jacob Lusk. Then it was celebration time for 15-year-old Thia Megia, quirky-cute Paul McDonald and soulful Haley Reinhart. And finally rocker James Durbin (a.k.a. Adam Lambert 2.0) rounded out the pack.

After America's picks were announced, it was time for the judges to choose their wild cards. Three girls (Ashthon Jones, Naima Adedapo and Kendra Chantelle) and three boys (Stefano Langone, Jovany Barreto and Robbie Rosen) were chosen to "sing for their lives." And in the end, the judges chose three (instead of the predicted two) wild cards.

"Baby Diana Ross" Ashthon seemed more shocked than anyone when she was put through first. Then Stefano was saved -- no doubt thanks to Jennifer Lopez, who's been his biggest fan from the beginning. And finally Naima, who was thrilled to be called an "exotic flower" by Lopez, joined the Top 13.

The episode also served as J. Lo's platform for the world premiere of her new video "On the Floor," a sultry dance track featuring Pitbull. The song has already climbed to no. 9 on the Billboard charts, giving this diva all the more credibility to critique the remaining Idol contestants.

Below is the complete list of the 13 hopefuls who will be competing again next week!

Ashthon Jones, 24
Casey Abrams, 20
Hailey Reinhart, 20
Jacob Lusk, 23
James Durbin, 22
Karen Rodriguez, 21
Lauren Alaina, 16
Naima Adedapo, 26
Paul McDonald, 26
Pia Toscano, 22
Scotty McCreery, 17
Stefano Langone, 21
Thia Megia, 15

Adam Lambert To Return to 'American Idol'

Singer will unveil an acoustic version of 'Aftermath' to benefit The Trevor Project.

All season long on "American Idol,' top ten finalist James Durbin has had to endure comparisons to season eight runner-up Adam Lambert. This week, he'll get to make those comparisons himself.

Lambert will return to the Idol stage Thursday evening (March 10) to perform an acoustic version of "Aftermath," according to the singer's personal Twitter page. Immediately following the show, the song will be made available exclusively on Lambert's website, with all proceeds from the sale going to The Trevor Project, an organization which offers support for and aims to prevent suicide by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered teens.

"In order to fully benefit the Trevor Project, the remix will only be available on my site. [But it will also] be on iTunes eventually," the 29-year-old singer tweeted.

The release will mark the first time that "Aftermath" is available as a single in the United States, and the fourth single overall from Lambert's 2009 album "For Your Entertainment," following the record's title track, "Whataya Want from Me" and "If I Had You."

"[Aftermath] was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you," Lambert said in a statement. "It's about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners."

While "Idol" looks back with Lambert, the openly gay singer continues looking forward, hard at work on his next album, he told MTV News.

"I'm in talks, so it's all kind of being conceptualized right now, and what we're hoping for is maybe by the fall," Lambert said of his sophomore effort. "So, I'm going to take my time and really write the most personal songs, the most powerful songs. I really want it to be something that's really honest and real."

Johnny Depp: Angelina Jolie Is a "Shockingly Great Mother"

Johnny Depp: Angelina Jolie Is a "Shockingly Great Mother"

To the outside world, Angelina Jolie is many things: an actress, a philanthropist, a style icon. But her costar in The Tourist, Johnny Depp, was most taken back by the actress' maternal gifts.

Calling her "a shockingly great mother" while doing press for the Tokyo premiere of their film, Depp admitted that he is floored by Jolie and Brad Pitt's ability to successfully raise six kids, while juggling the pressures of being Hollywood's most sought-after couple.

"With all those kiddies running around everywhere...She and Brad and that life that they live -- she remains this kind of solid, fantastic mother," Depp said. "Through all the weirdness and the paparazzi following them, she maintains this kind of calm and cool that's quite incredible."

While Depp and his love, Vanessa Paradis, have two children of their own, the Rango star joked that he'd "probably be in prison" if he had as many little ones as Brangelina.

We have to agree with Johnny here, as most moms feel accomplished when they've managed to take a shower, get the kids to school and make it to work on time all in the same morning. Now imagine trying to get everything done with hundreds of paparazzi following you to the supermarket!
