Lauren Conrad's Stylish 'Fame Game' Book Signing

Promoting her latest literary offering, Lauren Conrad was spotted at a book signing for "The Fame Game" at Barnes & Noble in New York City on Tuesday (April 3).

The former "Hills" hottie wore an adorable grey flower printed dress with bright red nails and nude pumps as she held up a copy of the fifth tome of her series about the highs and low of being a celebrity.

Lauren's book chronicles a drama queen who stars on a reality show and, when asked by GLAMOUR in a recent interview if the book reflects her experiences in Hollywood, she replied, "Yes, definitely. I knew people who called the paparazzi on themselves! Their point of view is 'They?re going to photograph me anyway, and this way I get paid half of what they make.' I could never bring myself to do it, but it was kind of fun to write it from that point of view."

Although most assume reality stars don't really do anything, that couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to Miss Conrad. When asked if she felt she had to prove herself, the 26-year-old replied, "I did, and it was very frustrating because I almost wanted to send critics my weekly schedule and say, 'This is my ?nothing.?' I would film all day, and then I had several other businesses on the side: In the last season I was running a clothing line and writing a novel. I work really, really hard."

Oprah Winfrey and Friends Write Letters to Their Younger Selves

She's had an ultra-successful career which has spanned multiple decades, and Oprah Winfrey appears alongside her younger self on the cover of the May 2012 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine.

Set to hit newsstands on April 10th, the 58-year-old's publication finds her writing a letter to her younger self while also including heartfelt notes from Katie Couric, Octavia Spencer, and others to the people they used to be - with the hope of inspiring readers to live their best lives at every age.

Highlights from Miss Winfrey's feature article are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to O, The Oprah Magazine!

An excerpt from Oprah's letter which accompanies a photo found in the May issue:
?In this photo you are just about to turn 20, posing outside the television station where you were recently hired as a reporter. You?re proud of yourself for getting the job, but uncertain you?ll be able to manage all your college classes before 1 and arrive at the station by 1:30 for a full day?s work. Even so, your biggest concern is how to manage your love life with Bubba. Yes, you are dating someone named Bubba.

?On this day, you?ve brought him to the station to see where you work, hoping he?ll be proud, too. He seems less than impressed. The truth is, he?s intimidated. You don?t see this, though, because you can see yourself only through his eyes. A lesson you will have to learn again and again: to see yourself with your own eyes, to love yourself from your own heart.?

?From where I sit now, viewing your journey, there are few regrets. Only months before this picture was taken, you wrote a poem about a ?woman becoming.? Even then you understood that success was a process and that moving with the flow of life and not against it would be your greatest achievement.?

Katie Couric on the advice she?d give the 25-year-old she used to be:
?It pays to know your stuff about sports. A lot of guy talk and bonding happens over big games and great athletes, so it helps if you?re not clueless. Playing a sport like golf can be even more helpful. Whether you win or lose on the links doesn?t matter?it?s being invited to play that counts.?

Octavia Spencer on the advice she?d give the 25-year-old she used to be:
?As you make your way along life?s tumultuous highways, it?s important to note that you should always carry a map, have plenty of fuel in the tank, and take frequent rest stops.?

Steve Wozniak Approves of Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs

Relax, people.

That's the general message the number-two man at Apple is delivering to fans reacting in outrage over the casting of Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs for an upcoming biopic of the late genius.

Steve Wozniak on DWTS

In response to the filming of Jobs, which gets underway next month and which will follow the title character's journey from "hippie to co-founder of Apple," as producers have teased, Steve Wozniak has released the following statement:

"There is probably little I can say, other than expressing my belief that this will be a great and popular film. I feel that Pirates of Silicon Valley was more interesting and grabbing and gets more play in schools of all levels than The Social Network. My hopes are that this film turns out as truthful and genuine as possible. I can't judge that aspect until the film is done and I see it.

As to the role of Steve Jobs I have little to say. Everyone has their own idea of who they think could play Steve the best. But when we started Apple at our young ages I decided not to put my nose and comments into every aspect of the company, like the color of boxes or the job responsibilities for a team. I would not step on the toes of people who had done these jobs for many years or decades. I would just do my engineering where I could not fail. So I look at the casting agencies and directors who are experts at casting. i trust that they considered all the relevant factors and made the best selection.

The fear that many might have is that Ashton was selected because he's 'hot' right now. But I feel that his selection was done in the most professional manner. And I'm glad that he's onboard. I think he'll put a lot into it and that he cares about this particular subject.

It's almost too bad that Steve Jobs is gone. His opinions and guidance, as to the story and film crew and cast would have been invaluable."

When the Wanted were recruited to perform for mtvU's Spring Break festivities in Las Vegas, they didn't realize all the distractions that would surround them when they stormed the stage at the Palms Casino Resort.

It wasn't the slot machines or the blackjack tables that had these five 20-somethings so distracted — it was the scantily clad young ladies. About the eye candy, the swagger-fied Max George explained, "You'll just have to look around for 2 seconds."

It wasn't just George who couldn't keep his eyes off the female coeds who descended on the pool at the famed hotel. Jay McGuiness added, "They are a crucial aspect of it."

When they weren't scoping out ladies, the cheeky fivesome was also plotting out their performance, looking to the Vegas setting for inspiration. "We're gonna try and get involved in a way that we don't get to in the U.K. 'cause it's freezing cold," McGuiness explained. "I think here we're just gonna literally get involved with the crowd."

How involved? "I think we might just jump in the pool," Siva Kaneswaran added.

"Can't wait!" Tom Parker chimed in. "We just did a sound check before, and everything's sounding pretty good for a change. MTV has really gone out here. 'Glad You Came' by the Wanted: great song."

Want to see what the guys ended up doing? Check out their performance when it airs Tuesday night (April 3) at 9:50 p.m. ET/PT. Dev, Big Sean, B.o.B and Young Jeezy were also tapped to perform during MTV's sunny Spring Break performances last month. They are airing this week on MTV.

Next up, the guys will release their self-titled debut album in the U.S. on April 24. They are looking to the Spring Break-approved "Glad You Came" for inspiration.

"We did a ballad, and it wasn't that great, if I'm honest with you," Parker said. "We've got a new one called 'Chasing the Sun,' which is gonna go out to radio soon, so look out for it. It's in the same vein as 'Glad You Came'; it's upbeat."
